Joining the Low Country Detachment is a great way to continue the leadership skills that we were taught from day one in the Marine Corps. As a member you will be able to demonstrate true leadership by supporting our fellow Marines and aiding in local community events.
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service that they may effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy, voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines, FMF Corpsmen and former Marines and FMF Corpsmen and to their widows and orphans; and to perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps and by fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
Regular Membership is available to persons who are serving , or who have served honorably in the United States Marine Corps in excess of ninety (90) days and persons who are serving or who have served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and have earned in excess of ninety (90) Reserve Retirement Credit Points. Navy Corpsmen that have served with the FMF are also eligible for membership.
Associate Membership is available to those individuals not qualified for regular membership in the Marine Corps League or the Marine Corps League Auxiliary and who espouse the principles and purposes of the Marine Corps League as contained in its Congressional Charter.
Life Membership is also available
Low Country Detachment #803 dues for new members is $40, payable when a membership application is submitted.

A photo-static copy of an applicant’s most recent Honorable Discharge Certificate (DD Form 256MC or DD Form 256N) or Release from Active Duty (DD Form 214/215) is required with each regular membership application to provide evidence or satisfactory service. For those currently serving on active duty, a photo-static copy of their Military ID Card is required.
